The bay of Mont St. Michel has its' own micro-climate and as such can be much hotter and dryer than the surrounding area area only a few miles away. From Sagrais farmhouse you can travel north or west to the coast - Normandy or Brittany, but remember to take suncream as many people get caught out in our area, particularly during June/July and September can also be very hot. In 2006 temperatures soared again here to 40 degrees in the sun. During low season, although Normandy is well known for being green, we have less rainfall here than say neighbouring St. Hilaire de Harcouet, and it is rare for it to rain all day - every day - the sun usually shines though each day.
